Temporary Closure Due to COVID-19 Pandemic

In accordance with the recent health measures implemented by the Government of Alberta to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Banff Public Library will be temporarily closed until further notice. However, we will continue to staff the Library every day from 9am-5pm and are happy to take your calls and answer your emails. We can be reached by phone at 403.762.2661 and by email at info@banfflibrary.ab.ca.

All items currently on loan have been renewed until July 31, and this due date will be extended further if necessary. If your library membership has expired, please give us a call or send us an email, and we would be happy to renew it.

The Library is offering pick-up and home delivery services while our facility is closed. Please give us a call, send us an email, or fill out our online form with your requests.

The Library also offers many fantastic digital resources, which can be accessed from home, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, newspapers, magazines, movies, music, online courses, school support, and more. If you would like to become a member of the Library in order to access these resources, please complete our Library Membership Application Form and we will email you a library card number and PIN within two business days. Library membership is free for all residents of the Town of Banff and Improvement District No. 9 (ID9) - the area outside of the Town of Banff but within Banff National Park, including Lake Louise and Saskatchewan River Crossing.
