Support us financially:

Monetary donations of any amount are welcome and can be made directly to the Banff Public Library in person, online or by mail:

Tax receipts will be issued for monetary donations in the amount of $20.00 or more.

Monetary donations can also be made online through CanadaHelps.

Banff Public Library is pleased to have an endowment fund that is held and managed by the Banff Canmore Foundation. This endowment fund is intended to create a permanent income stream for the Library to help support its collections, programming, and continued benefits to the community.

Due to the rising cost of subscriptions,

the Banff Public Library is seeking sponsors for our magazines!
With your donation of $100, you can support the Banff Public Library's magazine collection and provide access to great articles, news, and entertainment to the entire community.
In return for your sponsorship, we’re offering multiple advertising opportunities through the library.

Material Donations:

Banff Public Library welcomes donations of books and other materials such as magazines, CDs, and DVDs. Donated items must be in excellent condition and will be added to the collection if they align with the Library's Acquisitions Policy.

Donated items that are not added to the collection may be sold in our book sale. Most books, CDs, and DVDs are sold for $1.00/each. Magazines are sold for $0.50/each. Proceeds from our book sale are used to enhance the Library's collection, programs, and, services.

Donors are responsible for the transportation of all items to the Library.

ACCEPTED

  • Books less than 10 years old
  • Books in excellent condition
  • Clean Books

NOT ACCEPTED

  • Books 10 years or older
  • Computer books
  • Textbooks
  • Reader's Digest
  • Condensed books
  • Old library books
  • Books that are ripped, torn, or dirty.

Donate to our Community Wellness Programs:

Little Free Pantry

Banff Public Library is pleased to offer a Little Free Pantry to those in need.
We welcome donations of non-perishable food items and supplies such as:

  • canned goods: fruits, vegetables, beans, soup, stew, fish and meat, tomato sauce, canned spaghetti, etc.
  • unopened, packaged items: pasta, ramen noodles, mac & cheese, rice, granola bars, cereal, oatmeal, fruit cups, juice boxes, baby formula, condiments, peanut butter, jam, etc.
  • can openers

Banff Public Library is pleased to supply personal hygiene products to those in need. We welcome donations of:

  • toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss
  • travel size shampoo, conditioner, soap, and body wash
  • feminine hygiene products
  • lip balm and makeup
